(1) Chairman’s Report:
Welcome back Merfyn Thomas. Costs of meeting: £20 per meeting, covered via donations, and Councillor ward allowances.
Litter Picking Group: continues it’s work, presentation later.
No Councillors report as they are dealing wit aftermath of fire on Peulwys Lane.

(3) Police Report:
Police and Crime Commissioner: well received, importance of calling in reports of ASB/crime etc via 999/101/ online, as it all helps build a picture of local activity to enable officer deployment.
More police noted on the beat and figures for this June are down from last June.

(5) Old Colwyn Litter Pickers:
Short presentation by Paul Marl; Purpose is to promote sense of community, encourage and grow a sense of community pride. To clean up neglected areas and also to build sustainable relationships in local community with business etc. Currently working with RGC, Eirias High School DofE students, Sure Hope Church, Methodist Church, and Old Colwyn School as well as Football Club. Limitations to scope are numbers of volunteers, PPE and funding, Go fund Me page set up and some local businesses have donated. They have a need to develop a community plan and to find out what enforcement actions can be taken by them. The disposal of Green waste has been an issue, working with Cllr Mike Priestly on this. There is a need to work with local Councillors and not against them and a similar group has been in Portishead for a number of years and is quite successful and has found that the area has improved greatly. A cleaner healthier environment promotes good mental wellbeing, and participating in such activities in itself is a mindful activity. Thanks to Paul Marl and Stewart Williamson who is also present.
(6) Speed issues:
Llanelian Road traffic management issues persist.
Noted speed has been increasing along Abergele Road since implantation of 30mph at Cambrian Drive. Problems at Llanelian Road are ongoing.
(7) Environment:
ERF: Environments Roads and Facilities, importance of reporting fly tips, full bins and blocked gulleys to enable a cleaner environment , report it pages on CCBC website.
(8) Any other business:
(a) Mare’s Tail:
Mares Tail, becoming a problem throughout the village and is taking over Tan Y Coed Gardens, there is a need to find out whether CCBC has a Statutory Obligation to dispose of it before it gets into our gardens.
(b) Pentre Newydd:
Pentre Newydd, no further news on this and it is perhaps necessary to have someone from Cartrefi Conwy in to discuss the plans for this area.
