(1) Chairman’s Report:
The Deputy Chair opened the meeting. Richard Poynton is in hospital and cannot attend, we wish him a speedy recovery. The last month has seen a successful Christmas fayre and Remembrance Day service. We still await news of the CCBC consultation of the Peulwys fields proposal. This is an agenda item.

(3) Police Report:
Problems continue to be noted at Wynn gardens, Min y Don and the Abergele road flats in Old Colwyn. Drug paraphernalia has been found and dealt with in Llawr Pentre and Ysgol y Graig. Electric sooters are continuing to be an issue in the village. Both the Lyndale and Marine hotels are still hosting problem residents. Residents should report all issues to police 101 or the Council.

(5) Peulwys Fields:
No further information at the time of our meeting, however it has been reported that the coming consultation will be held over 8 weeks rather than the usual 6. A robust discussion took place about this committee sending updates to the greater community. If information regarding the consultation has not been received by the end of the week, the committee will send an update by email. This email will also request GDPR consent for further updates to be sent.
(6) Plas Gwilym Quarry:
A site meeting at Plas Gwilym is planned for 9th December 2025. No environmental or traffic reports have been made for this application.
(7) Village Defects List:
The Llanelian road speed sign is in the Town Councils hands; Cllr David Carr is trying to get the Wynn gardens water feature repaired. Other issues have been reported to CCBC ERF.
(8) Bryn Rhodyn Farm:
No further information.
(9) Christmas Fair Report:
Trudy Marden reported on a successful fayre held at St John’s church on the 29th November. A higher footfall was noted with good community engagement throughout.
(10) Litter picking group/plan:
Dave Bromage was introduced to the meeting. He has been organising litter picks with Cartrefi Conwy. His work is much appreciated, and we will try to arrange litter picks with volunteers from our association in the future.
(11) Any other Busines:
(a) Defibrillators:
Secretary reported that there are no association records for the village defibrillators. Will ask the ambulance service for records and any responsibilities on record.
(b) Recent flooding:
on Dolwen road was quickly dealt with by the council.
(c) Resurfacing:
Abergele Road, commences 7th January 2026.
(d) Promenade Parking:
At year end, councillors will request a record of use of promenade parking meters to evaluate cost/benefit analysis of their fitting.
