(11) Reckless Driving Llanelian Road/Ysgol T Gwynne Jones.
The Chair raised the matter following a comprehensive email received from a resident, including dashcam footage. The County Councillors are well aware of the issues, but the meeting felt that we should also write to the Council requesting a Road Safety Audit. This was felt to be important especially as the new wind/solar farm at Bryn y Maen will be using Llanelian Road for the construction traffic and also the demolition of Minafon Flats. A resident asked that the area around Cliff Gardens is included, this was agreed.
(13) Any other business:
The meeting was disappointed to hear that car parking charges are to be implemented on the Old Colwyn promenade. Felt that other areas should be added as well to be consistent. We should ask for details of income/expenditure in due course.
A sign by the Rainbow Bridge has fallen down. This was a Trunk Road Agency sign. A resident was asked to contact them to see if it could be put back.
The treasurer mentioned the Beach of Dreams which was to take place on Saturday 11am. The organisers had a OCRA banner and wanted someone from the Assoc to carry it from the fishing pier to Porth Eirias. This was very much a project that Monty was involved in and no one else had any details. Left that anyone could attend and carry the banner for us.
(14) Closure and Date of Next Meeting:
The next meeting will be 3rd June at 7pm meet at the Scout HQ, Beach Road to carry out a litter pick. The treasurer will get the litter pickers etc from the Town Council.
