(9) BID
Brian explained the background of Business Investment & Develpment. The area had been designated a sum of money for which Old Colwyn would have a share for the development of Cefn Road. Money had been provisionally allocated for resurfacing and street furniture. Local business people had been unable to work together satisfactorily and there was a danger that the money could devolve to the Crown Estate. B.I.D. had not registered the project as a “Charity.” One or two business people had undertaken to make every effort to secure this funding for the village.
(10) Unused Building Plots
Legislation in existence at Westminster to take action. Cardiff state that because it is not devolved, they are unable to act. Cheryl will consult with David Jones MP for further information.

It is now too late to organize Christmas Market after the Covid break. Summer Fair was to be on 3rd September 2022 but it is now known that a big event will be occurring at Eirias Park on this date. Further discussions will take place and developments reported back.

Now amended to long exposure timing allowing easier reading. This Association’s notice is included, and people present tonight are here as a result.

Council workers are being urged to return to their offices and are gradually doing so. Important for ratepayers, especially vulnerable people who need personal aid.
(14) Promenade Cyclists
Cheryl told us that the police are aware of this, and monitor the situation with a camera. Incidents still occurring, and warning signs being damaged or thrown into the sea.
(15) War Memorial
Merfyn informed us that in addition to money’s mentioned above, we have the possibility of money from the legacy of the R.W.F. Comrades Assn. Before they are reconstituted into another entity. We should also note that the Church, who state that they own the land upon which it is situated, might also be requested to help finance maintenance. One estimate is up to £4,000.00 for this. We await the submission of another survey from Grosvenor.
Brian gave an account of the work undertaken to include the names of men who were not included on the original brass plates, but are now. He felt that it probably did not require such expensive restoration as it had lasted so long without. Discussions are ongoing to establish responsibility and future maintenance.
(16) Berthes Road Car Park
Can be classed as a “road” as it is an ingress and egress from one road to another. Therefore cars left or driven there should comply with road traffic legislation.
